what was your inspiration to start making music ?
~ my older sister, i used to listen to her writing & making music growing up and i became interested over time and eventually turned it into my current career
when did you start making music how old are you and where are you based ?
~ i started making music when i was like 12 around 2019 is when i officially started recording and writing music and i didn’t really take it seriously until i got my pc which was in june of 2022 and started releasing in october of 2022, based in cincinnati ohio
what are 3 tips you have for upcoming artist that wanna get into music ?
~ make sure you havе ur own sound, jacking another person’s style won’t gеt you far. you don’t need a team to get yourself out there, just focus on yourself & try your best to get ur name out there. don’t let others tell you that you’re music sucks or that you won’t make it far, haters only motivate
what is it about you that is different from other artist ?
~ my versatility, i don’t limit myself to one genre, i constantly work on multiple different genres
what are your goals with being an artist ?
~ to get recognized & atleast hit a million total streams
where do you see yourself 5 years from now ?
~ pursuing with music & being far in my career, reaching millions and performing at shows
how did you come up with your name ?
~ there was a youtuber i watched named ex, and you know how all of a person’s fans copy their usernames etc, so his instagram name was exst~~z & i made mine jayst~~zys, at the time my name was ransom & i changed it to ‘st~~zy’ and dropped the jay, eventually i tried to release music under the name st~~zy but it was too many people with that name & my friends called me stz already so i ran with that
what’s your message to the youth ?
~ chase ur dreams man, whatever it is u wanna do, push for it head on & don’t let anything or anyone limit you, push 100%
what are some challenges you’ve faced as an artist and how did you overcome them
~ some challenges i’ve faced was growing a fanbase, i still dont have a fanbase yet but atleast i’m trying right? its all about putting you’re best foot forward and doing what you wanna do & whats best for yourself
what style would you consider your music to be ?
~ i would just classify my music under hip hop even tho i do every genre, hip hop is the main genre i like doing even tho i sing & rap, i do it all, but hip hop is where its at
