when a journalist phoned me up fishing for lies
never mentioned any negative details, the least of all
a headline that reads “rapper fails to please the mob”
complicit in taking the p~ss with sensationalist agendas
manipulating the city while claiming you’re its defenders
preaching from an imaginary tower of pious righteousness
edjits your rag is only glorifying spitefulness
get the picture, it’s said to paint a thousand words
well i’d say you less represent the people than the counsellors
i’m just throwing stones from an emotional glass case
explaining masel, although to quote loki i shouldnae have tae
i know i’m the messenger
but just consider this a letter to the editor
scandalous scaremongering bores me to distraction
there’s always justification for disproportionate reaction
look for villagers with pitchforks if your feeling sinister
