what was your inspiration behind youth the album?

for me i think the main thing was understanding what it meant to be a youth with purpose, and knowing now that helped shaped my life as an adult. back then we were just working hard trying to make it out of the hood essentially, just have a different and better life that was the motivation. the thing is, in the process of working hard and trying to make it out of the hood, we gained a lot of important life sk!lls that is just making life easy now. so youth for me is a project that combines my past and my now, with all the expеriences i learnеd along the way. the project has way too many vibes and will be enjoyed for sure

when did you start making music how old are you and where are you based?

for me i started out as a poet, i have been writing poetry since i was 4~5 years old, i did not really start writing songs till i was like 13. i think that’s when it cl!cked for me on how to mix that rhythm with my poem. so i will say, it’s always been part of my life. however, i did not release my first official song until 2018, as that was when i felt i was ready. had to go through a lot of life first

what are 3 tips you have for upcoming artist that want to get into music ?

first thing first is to make sure you love the music, if you don’t love the craft, you won’t be able to last in the industry. the love for the music is the thing that will get you through all the ups and down you will encounter along the way

the second will be to be humble and always understand that there is room for growth, don’t ever feel like you know it all and stop growing. have a student mindset and keep evolving, it will aid you to keep expanding your sound and keep up with the times

lastly will be to find a way to be consistent. because the music business is a journey and will require a lot of patience and consistency from you in order to make anything substantial from it

what is it about you that is different from other artist?

the main thing with me is that i don’t make music for the sake of making music. everything i make has to come from some inspiration, as i have to get inspired. it does not matter what the subject of the song is, the thing is it has to come from something with energy and that is experiences. it makes the music more authentic

what are your goals with being an artist ?

the main goal is to spread this positive energy i have with my music with everyone all over the world. i want to take the music worldwide and create experiences for people

where do you see yourself 5 years from now ?

doing the work of an artist and that is spreading the music and the message worldwide and of course, to be able to do that, have a bigger platform

how did you come up with your name?

pop stunna is a bridge between my personalities. pop comes from my personality of just helping the people around with advice, insight and just anything life related. i am like a father figure to a lot of my friends, so that is why they named me pop. stunna came from the fact that i have always been fly so: pop stunna. it makes sense

what’s your message to the youth?

have a goal or purpose in life, work hard at it and be consistent. once you do those things well, the future will be bright

what are some challenges you’ve faced as an artist and how did you overcome them

that motivation to keep going for the days that times were rough. i won’t lie, i have had days where i don’t have the same level of motivation. and like i said earlier about having love for the craft, that is what is going to get you through. the love for the craft

what style would you consider your music to be?
i make music that move people, like i don’t make music that plays in the background. it is something that move people for sure
