this was no game, i lost my strength, i couldn’t console!
as every receptionist i met became more of a con
so, my hope started to die that’s why i’m sitting here looking so confused!”

youtube tutorials became my confidence builder, call it bob!
if you knew, the cycle, the same, the pain and the shame, you would stop!
by two~two, caterpillar, disappointment dances with my hope!”
“every morning, i awake and keep on falling for job hunting lies
a virgin cause i seem to have some sort of job~celibacy ties!
the passion inside my voice couldn’t hide, my anger left me no choice
it’s funny how i believed the lie that papers would give me a voice!”
at this point my friend spoke up, asked me to indulge him for a bit
he said that i should pour my cup, cause my life’s pessimistic
that my life’s pursuit missed it!
that my walk isn’t roadworthy, cause way (koswe) too many ratsa (rats sir)
it needs to work out, it’s missing fitness!
let’s get back to business!
he said this disturbing sentence;
that there was no difference between my vision and that of blind bartimeus!
i said, “take back that dangerous statement don’t say such, it’s venomous!”
he said your dreams lack chemistry, they can’t be the force for us (phosphorus)
then said he just talked to someone like me that
was going through the same thing, he bets there’s plenty plenty that
thought they would be settled but life gave them that 2020 slap!
he who has ears should hear
but you who have eyes refuse to see!
neither contacts nor specs can help a blind man see!
direction is important to one that seeks precision!
the only thing worse than being blind is having no vision!
this problem isn’t yours alone but is of many generations!
some are depressed cause they cling to it without second guessing!
your vision impairment is called entitlement, entitled friend!
but who told you that life owes you cause god chose you?
you’re called to serve!
and who told you that life is all blue cause god saved you?
we don’t deserve nothing but death!
but the son of david lifted us from the depth
of sin and death not by our works by his saving grace!
‘entitlement’ is the reason nations lose integrity for donations!
‘entitlement’ is the reason people stop growing and become complacent!
from skin colour to social classes
education, and certain talents
colour of your collar
kwacha culture or dollar!
a veil of blindness is over your heart, you lost your sight because of this mindset
just look at how we’re all being hurt by this coronavirus!
look in the mirror and see that your pupils have pupils, a natural insight!
so, invite the fire inside and ignite the darkness of midnight
and ask the son of david to heal you, giving you true sight!
choose light!
learn from your past, you can’t be made a fool twice!
that truth was stone cold!
i said, “my 2020 vision i’ll care for jealously, even when i’m old,”
it was at this point i realized our food was getting cold…
