it’s a beautiful thing, how my mom had beat the odds
got the biggest of hearts, every problem she could solve
dad never came through and mom pushed for me

everyday she hustled just to keep all our lights on
i’m d-mn blessed to have the mother that i have
and i’m d-mn blessed having her instead of any dad, cuz
