today was turning out to be a great day for edward. he felt like he did well on his test, and he had got all his work done for the next day during study hall. his day could not be better. edward was preparing to leave when it dawned on him. it was supposed to rain today and he had left his umbrella and raincoat at his dorm. he thought to himself, ah it will be fine it’s not even raining yet. upon those words the sky must have heard because it began to rain
edward decided the best option would be to wait it out seeing as he had plenty of time till third period. he sat and sat and read a little, yes very little. then a beam of yellowish orange bled through the clouds in the sky. the rain had seemed to at the moment to have subsided
edward knew more or less that the time was now. he was going to go out there and run as fast as he could to the dormitory without getting a single drop on his papers. and then it happened, from the very second of him triumphantly stepping into the courtyard, it poured. thunder could be heard in the sky, oh for edward could feel the laughs of mother nature. the water ruined his papers. he thought to himself, oh what every am i going to do, i can’t turn in a paper blotted with ink. the an idea struck, why of course if i just leave them to dry then copy them back down, i’ll be fine. they’re not even due till tomorrow
edward arrived at his dorm and placed the papers by his lamp. surely that will be enough to dry them out he thought. then he went about the rest of his day going to third period, forth. for the rest of the day he thought about those papers. i hope there still legible, he thought. edward then made his way back, stopping only to pick up a quarter on the sidewalk. perhaps edward’s day was in fact turning around
when he arrived he found the papers dried. but at his horror the papers had dried stuck together, how was he ever to rewrite them now? edward was angry but not in sorrow but in full pursuit of perfection. he thought to himself, well they were not perfect perhaps i can do better. so edward stayed up till twelve when he finished redoing his paper. finally he was done, he then walked to his bed and laid down thinking and what a great day tomorrow will be
