so for cyrus, naming lil’ kim among her favorite female singers was natural. “in my past life, i feel like that was me,” miley cyrus says in an interview with billboard. “i feel like lil’ kim is who i am on the inside, and so she just makes me happy listening to her music. and, i just love her and i can’t help that i love her.”
although lil’ kim and nicki minaj have had a long-running rivalry, cyrus still included nicki minaj on her list. “i had to put nicki because i did kim. you can’t, like, choose one. if you say kim, you’ve gotta say nicki. nicki is now my lil’ kim of my generation, so that’s cool.”
