because you know, it’s difficult, when people going to church
y’know, for the first time
which was a lot of first times for me

’cause you grew up a jehovah’s witness
i grew up a jehovah’s witness
y’know, that really put a black eye on religion for me for a long long time
wow
’cause that’s a really strict religion
and it really deterred me from religion, but
once i started going back into the church, i just didn’t feel like i was welcome
y’know, you go into the church and they say “come as you are”, but do they really mean it?
they don’t mean it
y’know what i mean?
i heard today
i was doing a show today
and they was a christian show, up in a church
and they were saying, like, they were at some church and they were turning people away
are you serious?
that’s the same face i made!
i ain’t never heard of that!
they were turning people away at church, like “no, you can’t worship here, we good”, y’know what i mean?
so that, that really made me think about what i was saying was real, ’cause sometimes people just don’t feel like they belong
