of king olaf tryggvason
who put faith in the holy grail
set to spread the christ infection
throughout northern lands untamed
but was met in hostile answer
the pagan folk with rage inflamed
an alliance formed in secret
by the kings of pagan heart
with unrivalled firm devotion
to the mighty gods of asgard
hence the kings joined up for battle
forkbeard, eirik and haakon jarl
set their fleet against the traitor
h~rns sounded in a fierce snarl
for glorious death in battle
against the falsе god of deceit
thus we sail against dеserters
them we’ll crush with our fleet
olaf sailed with finest warships
glorious conquest on his mind
but on the serpent found in dread
what he never thought to find
the sea was like a carpet
as with ships it had been gilt
still made way against the enemy
hands clutched hard the leather hilt
a promise from the pagans
that the serpent ship will sink
before the last ray of sunset
battle stood upon a brink
olaf blind with arrogance
insulted his pagan foes
the swedes and danes he addressed
as ~rs~~l!cking forest goats
though outnumbered by the dozen
olaf’s ships stood like a fort
as the pagans blind with anger
their old ways he will not thwart
the waters stained in crimson
as the battle reached its peak
rammed apart were olaf’s vessels
one by one they met the deep
remained last the serpent vessel
and dishonour overpowered
olaf dived into the waters
so as not to die with pagan sword
thus the land again divided
into heathen lands and free
like a whip it was a backlash
struck against christianity
