superkee screamed at the top of the lungs, refusing to get out of the minivan
“not today!”, he said. “please not today. i have to fight crime today. you promised. you promised today was the day i could fight crime. yesterday you said it was too late. you said all the crime was asleep. but sarah told me crime never sleeps. not in usatown”
superkee was sitting in the doctor’s office
the magazine’s didn’t have nearly enough pictures in them
there was kind of a cool looking toy wherе there was a bunch of beads on diffеrent things of wire, that are all criss~crossing, and you can just kind of shake that around for a little while. but superkee thought that was for babies
an oldish man walked out of the doctor’s office. sweat dripping from his brow
and superkee knew right away that there was a problem
he jumped to his feet and pulled his back~up cape out of the seat of his pants, and threw it over his shoulders
“today crime is awake and i see it!”, he shouted. “i see it real good”
the oldish man never saw it coming. he didn’t hear the light patter of superkee’s ankle socks
he had removed his shoes in the car, that was the only way to get him inside
