the family telling us that he is only 18 years old, described as a good kid
so about 2:36 this morning
lapd pacific officers responded out to the area of 6th and brooks
on a call of shots fired
uh, while they were still responding to the call, additional officers called in
and said there was a shooting victim down in a car, on lincoln and rose
the officers arrived at the area, they found a vehicle overturned
they had a female shooting victim, she had suffered multiple gunshot wounds
uh, she has been in this vehicle collision
she was rushed to a local hospital, where she is in serious condition
a second victim, uh, male, adult, 18 years of age
he was pr~nounced dead here at the scene
he also suffered multiple gunshot wounds
now we caught this all on surveillance camera, video
we see the two cars driving east on rose, just east of lincoln
where the driver appears to lose control
the car flips over, an older model cadillac
any idea, how this started, what led up
is this a random shooting, or was this victim targeted for some reason
we, we have just started our investigation
of course we want answers to all those questions
so, uh, we’re gonna be out here all day

cause frankly, right now, we do not know, exactly how this hit started
