so the lyrics are supposed to be based around the monster rancher series, however i’ve only watched the anime a few times so my knowledge of the monster rancher universe is very limited, basic lyric themes are around genki and holly
the last episode always touched me as a young child, as genki has spent this whole time developing with his friends, a none more than holly, so it was always kind of sad to me when he see’s them disappear for the last time, the whole song is possibly a reflection of genki time in the monster world, the lines “i will catch you every time” is him remembering how he would always catch holly and take her away to safety and the blank canvas part is supposed to be his journey; metaphorically as a whole as genki had no set path to take, and he didn’t know how long he’d be there for, however he used his time there to help save their world, regardless of being just a normal kid
