america has truly been blessed with bountiful resources, stretching from the atlantic to the pacific. today, america is blessed with great industrial and agricultural development, which provide its citizens with a standard of living unequaled by any other nation in the world. from where did this come? was it by miracle or some sudden streak of luck? america is a world leader because of the contributions and sacrifices made by americans since the beginning of our glorious history. and who were these people who endeavored to build america? well, they were all kinds of people: rich, poor, adventurous, and brave. and all races and nationalities: italian, englishman, mexican, germans, poles, indians, chinese, norwegians, frenchmen, j~panese, russians, spaniards, and many, many more. truly, a melting pot of humanity. but what of the negro’s role and contribution to american history? the negro’s role in the history of america? a good question. perhaps we can briefly try to answer this for you. let us turn back the pages of history and start from the very beginning
