there are so many crazy things i’ve seen

this is what i got to say about my gen

everybody currently is bluffing a fronting
and they think that it’s working, i find it disgusting
so many parents dreams, are left all busted
so many kids nowadays need their head adjusted
you can’t find real friends, cause there’s no one to trust
you can’t have a good relationship, there’s nothing but l~st
that’s cause chivalry died and got replaced by “thirsty”
did i miss a memo? cause its way too early
for this generation to fall down to such lows
we keep wearing, less and less, clothes
we keep throwing, more and more, emotional blows
i see where we’re headed homie and you don’t wanna know
see we used to dress up, now we dress down
we used to smile more, now all we do is frown
we only think that going to the club is a night on the town
do you have any idea just how absurd we sound?
i hate how using vulgar language is the norm
i’m tryna clean up but its used in every sp~ce and every form
from your work place, to your friend’s house to your homestead, to your dorm
honestly, to break this habit, it’ll take criminal reform
we don’t wanna take a stand cause we’re afraid of being hated
we won’t invent solutions because we’re afraid of being slated
with doubt, afraid of getting kicked out, afraid of being caught in a bout
but if we tried we’d figure it out
we’re turning bullying into a sport, don’t deny it
when someone falls on the ground, we laugh while they crying
we make memes and vines, instead, they’re dying
and we go the nerve to complain about teens suiciding huh
when the show comes on, we flip out our phone a record it
but with that thing in the way how we supposed to enjoy it?
we’re so attached to our devices, we’d k!ll for em, think about it
we think its torture for more than a minute we’re without it
it’s just a 6 inch screen, a handheld machine
y’all know what i mean, cause it really is obscene
just think about that for a minute yo, just think about it
anyway
they tell ya not to judge a book by its cover right?
but we only wanna date people if their body’s tight
we only want a taste, if their money’s outta sight
but we’re way to lazy to earn that right
see, this is exactly what’s wrong with this generation
does anybody nowadays care about reputation?
does anybody else, understand my frustration?
we need to stop dropping the ball, and switch the vibration
it’s not as bad as it seems, no matter how bad it gets
that’s why i’m stepping up to the plate, to clean up this mess
with a little elbow grease, we can earn our ancestor’s respect
with some hard work, and some courage, there maybe hope for us yet
