i want to tell you a little story, about my experience on unemployment
but first, we’re gonna have to go back, to the beginning..
about 8 in the morning, getting ready to leave
i got my t~~th brushed and hair done and d~mn, look at me!
strap on my shoes, i get my car keys, i head for the door then the d~mn phone rings
h~llo? (hi steve, remember me? i’m your boss, sales are kinda slow so take some time off)
ahh, woohoo! i mean, oh that sucks. i hopе that gets better and that work picks up (bullsh~t!)
and thеn i proceeded to act like a douche i took off my hat and kicked off my shoes
i laid in the bed for the whole d~mn day, eating junk food and letting the dvds play
day 2, not different it was mostly the same, potato chips, soda pop and video games
day 3, same thing then i got really drunk, and day 4 never happened cause i never woke up
work is gone, no more nine to five for me
so now i get paid to sit and watch tv
day 5 revelation hit me just as i woke if i keep this cr~p up i’m gonna go broke
so i headed out with one goal in mind, the 12 mile long unemployment line (hooray…)
a week later man i finally got my first check though it wasn’t half of what i’d expect
but oh well, back to movies and pacing the halls picking my nose and scratching my ~ shoes untied!
the next two weeks were completely insane, and by that i mean it was pretty d~mn lame
sleeping too late, making prank phone calls, reading book after book and then staring at walls
taking long naps, playing my guitar and sing sappy sad songs about how i don’t do a thing
and then lighting a candle while i meditate, looking up p~rno while i master ~ halo 2!
work is gone, no more nine to five for me
so now i get paid to sit and watch tv
yo, alright it’s time to flash forward, a full month later and d~mn i’m bored!
i seen all these movies, i’ve played all these games, i’ve read all these websites, i’m going insane!
there’s never a good show on daytime tv, all my friends are at work, who will entertain me?
this boredom is brutal, it cuts like a knife, this is the longest weekend of my life!
work is gone, no more nine to five for me
so now i need pills for my insanity
bored to death, what the h~ll is wrong with me?
i cannot watch one more show of judge judy
so keep your job as long as you can folks, because getting paid to sit on your ass and do nothing is only fun for about the first seven days..
and then, schizophrenia starts setting in
i hope you have lots and lots and lots of dvds!
