lirik lagu sminachitown - wild west (an immigrant poem)

i’ll sit down like an indian
and pray for the falling rain…
kiss the earth
and circle like an eagle
raven or a hawk..

under thundered stormy plains

i’ll saddle the horse
and let it take me afar
to meet the golden mountains
down the roads
of the lonesome
bleeding sun..

take me up to the hills of heartland
river mountaintops
down the valleys of this stranger’s land…
that resemble
valleys of my heart…

when did the wild west become my home?

i bled in ruthless and became one with all
it is still a mystery to me that in my spirit
i cried out for the home
that’s not mine
to which i don’t belong..
the moon and the stars
had washed up paths
i thought..
belonged to my heart

empty, pale and lifeless hollow pain
it’s a memory of a feeling i carry around
where or why did my feet
touch this land?
i was meant to take part..
in these streets of urban towns
rural springs with prairies meadow fields
stole a sp~ce to dwell right here
inside my ravaged heart..

i’ve walked the lonely roads
and became many
among one…

pride is an expensive medal
the rebel in me resists to pay its price
with its life..

where

freedom sleeps only on the tongues of the brave..
i’ve crossed this land, felt its sorrow
where cold has shivered every stalk
shook every bone to its core..

by its always lurking
hungry prey…

but, after all i’ve learned, and now i know…

why and how?
the wild west
got its name!
