[verse 1]
some things are better left unsaid
like [?] left for dead
means to an end for the resource wars
common heritage [?], pens die by the sword
[?] in the eye of the storm
try to memorize what i can before it resumes and buries everything under the sand
don’t have a plan but i’ve accrued a bit of knowledge
from dusty book shelves in wee hours of the morning
and watching the trends, i think it can’t be long
until the fat lady sees us singing her songs
the house is crumbling and we shouldn’t be surprised when the foundation is buildings made of dead bodies and lies
[?] would be nice but ultimately worthless without conceptual ideas to make it function
so you want to save the world, well that sure is lovely
the question to be asked here is ‘for what purpose?’
if i told you revolution was [?] but be thankless, would you just turn on your heel and go become a banker?
is your urge for change really born in comp-ssion, or are you just talking up what you don’t understand?
see critical thinking is more important than a lexicon
we seem more concerned with reverence and open-ended rhetoric to ever stick to any plan we ever make
so we sit and bicker details while drones make the world shake
war is the ambiance of this atmosphere
paying lip service to peace while you’re living in fear
the true revolution starts first in the mind
to view the world subjectively is to view it blind
the truth may not be kind but it holds no allegiance
no authority speaks for it, no leader will give it credence
truth is uniform throughout this existence
not righteous nor the spotty kind, it doesn’t hear or listen
it’s only hard to accept if you stand in its path
damming the stream of justice for enrichment on your behalf
but nature always wins and your success is transient
all your pennies and trinkets can’t overpower the infinite

[verse 2]
do you think it’s coincidence that every inst-tution holds monopoly on knowledge and decides what we do with it?
the media you watch, all the products you consume
the parliament writes the laws and police enforce the rules
the energy companies controlling what fuel we use
and conglomerates creating illusions, the choices to choose
make no mistake, you are being controlled
your future packaged and sold before you even inhabit the globe
some walk the hallowed halls where power resides and become so overwhelmed they start believing the lies
they handle your access and the questions you ask
sugarcoat every moment so you don’t see through the mask
and when you go back to report on all the things that you viewed, you have the f-cking audacity to call that sh-t news
keep telling yourself that you’re not a propagandist, that you’re a journalist and not a dog-trainer/mannequin
your arrogance is staggering so we just stop listening
power resting unsteadily on people staying ignorant
but at no point in history has there been such a chance to raise human consciousness on a scale so vast
now that we’re interconnected we can unite without borders
simultaneously [?] the rug from under the h–rders
all that we need is to hijack the narrative of the establishment and erratically unravel it
engender an open culture with all our peers and let fly with ideas left unspoken for years
see the only commerce worth having is knowledge
‘cause with it, we can build sustainable and solid
a civilized society for the first time in history, living post-scarcity and post-inequality
it’s pointless to stand in the way of the truth
‘cause we are mere mortals, but ideas are bulletproof
