lirik lagu prolapse - when space invaders were big
[mick]
standing outside the toilet
deep blue denim, tight fit
i only wear the whitest of white training shoes
i’ve been waiting for a pickup for so long
the emptying of the toilet smells
somebody walked by, looked a bit like that singer in that band
i thought he gave me the eye, i followed him by the bush
turned out it was just one those things
he looked at me strange and i asked for the time
i turned away, embarrassed
it’s horrible what you have to do
standing there like a shop window dummy
he looked nice, he’s got a cute ~rs~
this place is teeming
but it’s not teeming with people that i want to be mine
these trousers are tight fit
and i only wear the whitest of white training shoes
i wander round in parks
these toilets smell
i’ve made up a range of my life around toilets
why is there nowhere for us to go?
people think we’re seedy, but we’re not really
we just need something that people can give us
or just a bit of love
it’s quite ironic that we have to hang out with the p~ss
ah, some people
if anybody else goes by in a car and shouts “f~ggot” then i’ll bl~~dy punch them
at least i know what life’s about
it’s not much fun hanging around toilets but what else has a guy got to do?

is life worth living?
this is a fundamental issue and we must approach it first from the philosophical angle, and ask what it would be likely to happen the shrinkage of our population continued with greater effect for a series of generations, leading inevitably to our ultimate extinction
is this something we can face with equanimity? we must then ask the further question, does it matter if human life stops? this is by no means an imaginary danger. whether this does or does not matter is not something that can be argued about, it is a matter of fundamental faith for one’s psychological outlook
this is by no means an imaginary danger
if life on the whole seems to be good and purposeful, even if at times it involves hideous suffering and frustration, if one sometimes at least can echo browning’s words: “how good is man’s life, the mere living! how fit to employ all the heart and the soul and the senses forever in joy!”

it certainly involves hideous suffering and frustration
this is a fundamental issue
does it matter if human life stops?
