the opening track for the record, “face everything and rise”, is a perfect example of using some of that tech edge and that just banging groove that, you know, we’ve been known for, but lyrically painted a picture of a world that’s devastated and from the ashes, you know, rising, and that’s really… for me that’s been a theme throughout my whole life. i’m a fighter. i fight for what i love, i fight for what i believe in and i speak about that in the song and i come from a genuine place because i’ve been to h-ll and back, you know, and… man i’ve been busted out the gates of h-ll straight up and this song is about that and i think that that, you know, being in those places, those dark places had become an ultimate strength in creating music that has hope in it, you know. cause’, you know, we live in a crazy old time, crazy, crazy, crazy time right now, you know, and so some music with some hope in it is always good, so “face everything and rise” definitely encomp-sses that… it’s empowering… i mean that’s strong
