those affected by the fire, as well as dealing with unimaginable injury or loss, had to campaign for 30 years for the causes of the fire to be re~examined
finally, in 2009, the finding that the fire was caused by arson was removed due to a lack of evidence
10 years later, families were able to persuade the attorney general to hold a new inquest into the 48 deaths that resulted from the stardust fire
more than four decades after the devastating fire of the stardust nightclub, many questions remained unanswered
they are remembered also by the many thousands of people who loved them and who have worked tirelessly since their death to ensure that the fire which cost so many young lives is one day fully and fairly investigated
