i think “my love” is probably one of the proudest… one of the proudest moments of my career so far, i think. like, the video, just like, everything about it. and that actually i think it’s definitely a fan favorite. everybody in that room sings that song so, it feels like an electric moment when i do “my love”.
i knew i wanted something anthemic, and i just think, yeah, we’ll do something sort of different genres that were kind of, like, put together. i wanted to create something that was just a bit like, ‘what is this? this sounds a different, a bit more fresh, you know?’ um… there was quite a lot of us in the room aswell, there was like dyo, cam, progression, so it just felt like, as we were making it, it just felt like a party, and it just kept getting better and better and like, for me it’s one of those songs that if feels like it lifts you up, and when i started feeling that, i was like, ‘okay, this has to be my next single’. i mean, i couldn’t open with “my love”, because it’s like, it’s like one of my favorites and one of my best, and i wanted to keep, i just wanted keep them waiting for it, to be honest, like… it’s actually the encore.
