and your pocket change, even if you are flat broke, shows these guys that they rock your world, right?
so, liz is in charge of this. she is taking care of that for the night
so, like i said, the only thing they’re walking out of here is some percentage of that
and for any stranger who just walked in off the streets like, i’m not giving you any money to this convention of short guys

i want to start introducing our next artist
his name is alex davis, and i want you to know that speaking of gas money
he came all the way up from los angeles for this show tonight
when i was putting together the lineup for the show, i asked joe stevens, who’s our last artist, i said, “is there anyone you recommend?”
and he said, “well, you should check out this guy, alex”

it’s a great name, right? and i’m starting to think it’s lucky us that he’s here
and as i was listening through his stuff and doing a little sort of recon on him and his background
i started to realize what a rock star, what an up~and~coming rock star we had possibly in our midst
so, i emailed him sort of nervously like, would you come do our little free show at el rio?
and within a few hours, he responded, “totally yes”
and he’s been so low maintenance ever since
he’s just like, it’s awesome
