all the things that we did
i took out my car one sunday
to the farm just to look around
i drove past ss number four
only to find that it was there no more
you know, the county tore it down
right to the ground
so i sit and i wonder what joe toms
and all my old friends are doing today
it’s been about fourteen years or more
since i last saw ss number four
no one in the world can ever take it away
someday when i get to be a gray old man
sitting in my rocking chair
this big old world gets a little too cold
i start forgetting everything i’m told
