and he had a guitar being built by my friend that had three necks
you know? three necks!
it was pretty strange~looking, and he played really well too, you know
and uh, but at one point he looked at me with a sort of
a kind of accusatory look, like, “how many guitars do you have, man?”
i said, “well, i, you know—i don’t know. a lot”
and they’re, you know
like i’m always getting rid of some and getting some more, you know
just always looking for something, and i said
and he’d made this, this elaborate metaphor about how the guitar
you know, it’s like a woman, a guitar is like a woman, you know
and like, and when you find the right one you’ll only need one, you know
“with three necks,” i told him
