um, i’m elijah, uh
i got the pleasure to know cliff for about ten or eleven years, um
and uh, really he, he was just, one of the just like most gentle, um, free~spirited people that i knew
that i got to know, um
he always had a way of making me feel comfortable and appreciated
and uh, he could just fill up a room with his presence, um
he just had a glow about him and uh
yeah i got to do a lot of things with him
um, concerts and the youth group, um
went on a lot of trips, we went to the dominican republic
remember he was sick the entire time, hah
’cause it’s like a hundred and ten degrees there, it’s just so hot
um, we went to chicago to see a, a musician we really liked
um, went on a float trip and uh, i remember he lost his shoes in the river
so we had to go get them and then we had to chase after the, the boat for a good few minutes, um
yeah he just uh, he was, he was a great person, um
we made a lot of music together
he’s in, his vocals are in some of my songs and uh
y’know, it’s uh, it’s good to be able to have that catalogue of things to look back on, um, in my life with him
uh, he just uh, he was so grateful for everybody around him and, um
yeah he, he was just one of the greatest friends you could ever ask for
and i remember uh, my first show, ’cause i’m a musician, uh
y’know there was some songs he wanted me to play, i wasn’t able to get ’em out, but, y’know hopefully uh, for the rest of my life i can sing songs for him and uh, hopefully he’ll be there, y’know
watching me perform ’em, but um, yeah
