the ground was covered in crimson blood surrounding the man’s fractured skull like a flood brain membrane on black and white marble flooring the blood vessel refills with the oxygen red his brains seeps back into his head he rolls tumbles back up the stairs instead the railing wood splinters reconnect and circumvent he turns the opposite direction facing away from the stairs a cloaked man unjump scares him he puts the bottled beer back in the fridge enters his study and sits in his leather chair at his oak desk his unseals the envelope with the money he owes the the cloaked pest

the old man sits in his mansion at in his brown leather throne with his oak desk. he doesn’t seal the money instead he changes his mind and puts a top hat on his head he calls in his butler and tells him to pay the man he owes a jester who did all of his shows. the butler takes the money and leaves a scream is heard as a cloaked man runs past the chamber door sending the butler through the railing down the stairs and onto the floor…
