the war we ignore. war. what is war? webster dictionary defines war as “a struggle or competition between opposing forces or for a particular end.” well, when we think of war, what do we think of? we think of the popular ones. the world wars. the revolutionary wars. but, what if i said there was a war that we all ignore? it’s a war inside us all. the war of emotions. it’s not fought with weapons or firearms, it’s fought with something even more deadly. the amount of people we’ve lost to this war, the amount of casualties there have been are astronomical. a lot of people have asked me “why? why did you call this album ‘the war we ignore?’ isn’t that the name of a f~, a documentary about heroine?” which, yes, it is. i am very much aware of that. but the point is, i feel like we blame this, these things that happen in our society. the violence, and anger, and suicide, and death, and just everything in our society we blame it~ we blame it on drugs, we blame it on violent media, we blame it on anything except for the real war. the~ our emotions. our mental health. and, i mean, if we talk about our emotions we’re pushed down. it’s “how could you talk about that? you’re k!lling the mood.” i’m gonna be honest. do i think this album is good? no. i don’t. it’s my first album. i don’t think anyone expects it to be good. eh, i, i’m putting it out because i feel like it’s important that i express my emotions and how i feel so that i an~ i can encourage you all to express yourselves as well. i don’t want to come off as fake. i don’t want to come off as~ as if i’m wearing a mask or playing a character. a disguise. i want to be completely open and out and really show my inner self, and that’s what i wanted to do with this project. now, this project tells a story. it~ and i mean if you pay attention you’ll understand the story. i don’t think anyone is going to get the story as well as me considering i wrote it, but, just try to listen with an open mind. thank you. i love you. i hope you enjoy
