“salute to cyuc (m~l)” was written in honor of the founding of the communist youth union of canada (marxist~leninist). it was published in people’s canada daily news on june ninth, 1979 and was performed at the first national canadian youth festival held in montreal from august telwth to fourteenth, 1977
