lirik lagu brothagoose - it's high time
these thoughts escape me like a runaway train, a stray bullet
the trigger sits between my mind and my mouth, my brain decides the right tme to pull it
happily ever after doesn’t exist
people always want more but get left hungry like oliver twist
rickity tick tock goes the clock, the second hand stops
it’s by time, i’ve, been getting mocked
now watch, the minutes, they dont fly by they walk
i’m in shock, but i’m trying to listen
got lost in another dimension and i refuse, i’m not paying attention!
right then, the day was beginning to p-ss, when it stopped in front of me and started to ask
if perhaps, i could spare a little cash for gas
so i tossed’um a twenty and asked for directions, he replied, “it’s too late in the game to make a course correction!”
but yelled “hey” as he rode away, said it really didn’t matter any which way
the destination won’t change, it remains the same, inside every brain lives this misconception
said goodbye to today he needed to run, had made plans to meet up with the sun
but left me with a note to give to tomorrow, it read, “can you pay him back the twenty bucks i borrowed?”
where did this start and where will it end? these thoughts aren’t mine they belong to my pen, siphoning ink so ha ha i win!
follow along as i put this ink to paper, just watched my pen run off with my stapler
sleep deprived, i’m having that nightmare again, the one where i’m being swallowed by a giant ambien
i’m hearing voices and they’re driving me crazy, stepped on my shadow then it started to chase me, it’s catching up, somebody save me!
